Name of the Police Certificate: Criminal Record NR (2)


If you are a citizen of Lebanon and live in Lebanon


You should apply in person at your nearest gendarmerie territorial brigade and provide:

  1. Identity card or civil status extract or a passport. A copy of the identity card or the civil status extract may also be presented, on condition that the commander of the brigade has personally noted the term “Certified Copy”.
  2. Four fiscal stamps.
  3. Applicable fees.

If you are a citizen of Lebanon and live outside of Lebanon


You can assign a relative living in Lebanon power of attorney and ask them to submit a request letter on your behalf to the commander of the judicial police. They must apply in person and bring:

  1. Power of Attorney.
  2. Copy of your passport.
  3. Copy of your residency permit for Lebanon (if available).

A letter from you stating:

  1. Your residential address when you lived in Lebanon.
  2. Information about your employment/employer while in Lebanon (or the school you attended).
  3. How long have you lived in Lebanon (give exact dates).
  4. Applicable fees.

The commander will forward your request to the criminal record department where your relative who submitted the letter can obtain the criminal record. For more information, visit the ISF Interior Security Forces website.


If you are not a citizen of Lebanon and live in Lebanon


You can apply in person at your nearest gendarmerie territorial brigade and submit the following, depending on your nationality:

Syrian Nationals:

  1. A red card.
  2. An entrance ticket (white).
  3. Your Syrian identity document.
  4. Applicable fees.


Arab or foreign nationals:

  1. Your passport.
  2. Your residence permit.
  3. Applicable fees.

If you are not a citizen of Lebanon and live outside of Lebanon
