Name of the Police Certificate: Certificate of Good Conduct


If you live in Ethiopia


You need to apply in person at the Ethiopian Federal Police Commission Forensic Investigation Department (see Special notes and considerations for complete address). You must allow your fingerprints to be taken and you must also bring a copy of your national identity card, a copy of your passport, two passport-size photographs, a letter from the Canadian visa office requesting the certificate, and applicable fees.


If you live outside of Ethiopia


You need to apply by sending your documents to the Ethiopian Federal Police Commission Forensic Investigation Department (see Special notes and considerations for complete address). You may also ask a representative to submit the request in person on your behalf (he or she must bring proof of legal representation). You must bring:

  1. An original set of fingerprints taken by the police authority of where you live.
  2. A copy of your passport.
  3. Two passport-size photographs.
  4. A letter from the Canadian visa office requesting the certificate.
  5. Applicable fees.

If you are in GTA area of Canada, you can get fingerprints taken by Worldwide Forensic Services Inc. (www.fingerscan.ca)
