Name of the Police Certificate: Police Certificate
If you live in Zambia
You should apply in person at your local police station or Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Headquarters-Lusaka (see Special notes and considerations for complete address). You must bring:
- Identity card or passport.
- Must allow your fingerprints to be taken on a standard fingerprint form.
- Applicable fees.
If you live outside of Zambia
You need apply to the CID Headquarters-Lusaka (see Special notes and considerations for complete address). You must submit:
- Copy of your passport.
- A set of fingerprints taken on a standard fingerprint form at any police station in your area of residence.
- A pre-paid DHL envelope for them to return the police certificate to you.
- Applicable fees.
If you are not a citizen and live in Zambia
Apply in person at your local police station or CID Headquarters-Lusaka (see Special notes and considerations for complete address). You must bring:
- Your original passport and copies.
- Certified copies of visa/permits showing proof of legal residence in Zambia.
- Must allow your fingerprints to be taken on a standard fingerprint form.
- Applicable fees.
If you are not a citizen and live outside of Zambia
Apply to the CID Headquarters-Lusaka (see Special notes and considerations for complete address). You must submit:
- Copy of your passport.
- Copies of visa/permits showing proof of legal residence in Zambia.
- A set of fingerprints taken on a standard fingerprint form at any police station in your area of residence.
- Two photographs.
- Dates and addresses of all places of residence while you were in Zambia.
- A pre-paid DHL envelope for them to return the police certificate to you.
- Applicable fees.
