    RCMP's Accreditation

    You can get your fingerprints taken by one of our associates in the Czech Republic, the local police, a notary public or a fingerprinting agency (having an MOU with our company) and send us the original fingerprint form. We will digitize fingerprints on paper and securely transmit them to the RCMP for a Canadian police check. We also have associates in the Czech Republic.     The Canadian Criminal Record Check (duly certified, embossed, and signed by the RCMP on their letterhead is directly sent by the RCMP to the applicant or a third-party, via Canada Post regular mail. We can also get the police clearance certificate authenticated and super-legalized by the embassy/consulate of the Czech Republic in Canada at an additional cost.

    Authentication and Legalization of Documents:

     

    Foreign gov­ern­ments and orga­ni­za­tions sometimes need the RCMP’s Cer­ti­fied Crim­i­nal Record Check authen­ti­cated by Global Affairs Canada and legalized by an embassy in Canada.

    The doc­u­ments orig­i­nat­ing in Canada need to be authen­ti­cated and legalized for use in the Czech Republic. In addition to our express fin­ger­print­ing services, we can get RCMP’s cer­ti­fied crim­i­nal record check and the other documents authen­ti­cated by Global Affairs Canada and legalized by an embassy/consulate in Canada, at a reduced cost.     Frequently Asked Questions:

    Can I get my fin­ger­prints taken on the fingerprint form used by the local police?

    Yes you can. You have to make sure that the fin­ger­print lay­out is the same as on the RCMP’s fingerprint form C-216C or the FBI’s fin­ger­print card FD258. We also accept fingerprints taken with live-scan and printed on the fingerprints form.

    Can the RCMP send the Cana­dian Police Clearance to Czech Republic?

    Yes the RCMP can send the Cer­ti­fied Crim­i­nal Record Check to an address in Czech Republic, at no addi­tional cost.

    I also need the RCMP's check super-legalized by the embassy of Czech Republic in Canada. Do you offer this service?

    Yes we do offer authentication and legalization services. Please send us an email to get the details and pricing.

    Do the Canadian authorities accept a Basic Name and Date of Birth based police check?

    No. You would need a fingerprints based check.

    Do you accept fingerprints taken by Notary Publics in Czech Republic?

    Yes we do. Sometimes the fingerprints taken by notary publics are not clear for processing. Better get fingerprints taken by the police of professional fingerprinting agencies.

    Can I email you a scanned ver­sion of my fin­ger­prints for elec­tronic trans­mis­sion to the RCMP?

    Unfor­tu­nately, as per RCMP's requirements, we can­not process scanned ver­sion of fin­ger­prints. You would need to send us the orig­i­nal fin­ger­print form (via mail or courier), along with the other doc­u­ments, as per the check-list.

    I have a pho­to­copy of fin­ger­print form. Can I send it to you for processing?

    We can­not process a pho­to­copy. You would need to send the orig­i­nal fin­ger­print form via mail or courier.

    How would I know that you have received my documents for obtaining background check from Canada?

    Once we receive your doc­u­ments and trans­mit fin­ger­prints to the RCMP (the same day), we will send you a con­fir­ma­tion email. Please do not keep on send­ing emails to check as to whether we have received your doc­u­ments or not.

    How long will it take to receive the Cana­dian Criminal Background Check in Czech Republic?

    The RCMP take 3 to 5 days to process fin­ger­prints and after that, they send out the cer­ti­fied crim­i­nal record check (hard copy), via non-trackable Canada Post reg­u­lar mail.

    If there is a crim­i­nal record, the RCMP can take from 1-4 months or even longer to send the results.

    I need the RCMP’s Cer­ti­fied Crim­i­nal Record Check as soon as pos­si­ble. Can I request the RCMP to send it to your com­pany and you can then send it via courier?

    Yes you can. You need to com­plete  and send third party con­sent form along with the other documents. We will receive RCMP's criminal record check and send it to you via courier, at an addi­tional courier fee.

    I only need name and date of birth based police clear­ance (without fingerprints). Can I obtain it while liv­ing overseas?

    Yes you can. Please send a quick email to info@fingerscan.ca and we will send you the application package.

    How can I pay for your services?

    You can pay by a credit card (Visa or Mas­terCard only), Pay­Pal, email trans­fer (to info@fingerscan.ca), an inter­na­tional money order or bank draft.

    If you want to pay via Pay­Pal, send us a quick mes­sage to request a Pay­Pal invoice. You do not need a PayPal account to pay via PayPal.

    Can the RCMP send my Cer­ti­fied Crim­i­nal Record Check to a third party?

    Yes it is pos­si­ble. You would need to com­plete a Third Party Con­sent form and write their address on it. The right thumb print on that form is mandatory.

    When I went to the police to get my fin­ger­prints taken, I for­got to take my right thumb print on the third party con­sent form. Do I need to go back to the police to do it?

    You can use a stamp pad (any color) and put right thumbprint on this form. If you are not sure about the clar­ity of the thumbprint, please send us 2, 3 forms and we will select the clear­est one.
