If you live in Chile

You can apply in person at any office of the Registro Civil e Identification or online at Servicio de Registro Civil e Identificacion.

If you live in Chile and can’t apply on your own, you may provide notarized authorization for someone else to apply for you.

If you live outside of Chile

You can apply at your nearest Chilean embassy or consulate or online at Servicio de Registro Civil e Identificación (available in Spanish only).

You’ll need to request a Certificado de Antecedentes para Fines Especiales and an original Hoja de vida del Conductor.
