Simple Steps to Follow

Apply for a Canadian Background Check

Processing

The fingerprints are digitized and  transmitted to the RCMP. Depending upon our busy schedule, we try to process the applications, the same day we receive them*.

A Certified Criminal Record Check is directly sent by the RCMP to the applicant or a third party (as per request), via Canada Post regular mail.

To speed up the process, we can also receive the police check from the RCMP and send it to the applicant or a third party via courier (at an additional courier cost). This is the quickest way to get a police clearance certificate from Canada.

You can get Canadian police clearance for Immigration, Citizenship, Employment, Visa, Record Suspension, Adoption, College Registration, Licenses, Dual Citizenship, Name Change, Volunteer Work, etc.

*Incomplete or missing information, or late replies from the customers may delay the process.

There are different types of Criminal Background Checks in Canada. We do offer fingerprints based check issued by the RCMP, Name and Date of Birth Based check, and the Judicial Matters Checks-Level 2 issued by the local police

How Does it Work?

Canadian Criminal Background Check (also known as Canadian Police Clearance, Certified Criminal Record Check, RCMP Police Clearance, Canadian PCC, Penal Clearance Certificate etc.) is issued by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) after verifying the fingerprints of an individual with their database. The only way to submit fingerprints to the RCMP is through an RCMP-accredited fingerprinting agency in Canada.

If you are in Canada, you can simply go to a fingerprinting agency, get fingerprints taken with a live scan machine, and transmit them to the RCMP. If you are outside of Canada, get fingerprints taken with ink or a live scan machine and send the fingerprint form to our office. We will take care of the remaining process.

Worldwide Forensic Services Inc. is accredited and certified by the RCMP Canada to submit electronic fingerprints to the CCRTIS in support of Criminal Record Checks. We have helped over 40000 local and international clients to get Canadian police clearance certificates. We accept ink & roll and live-scan fingerprints (printed on paper).

Name and Date of Birth Based Police Clearance

The second type of police clearance certificate is a Name and Date of Birth-based check issued by the local police. Normally basic name and date of birth-based checks are used for local employment and other purposes not requiring a fingerprint-based check. Name and date of birth-based checks are rarely accepted by the authorities outside of Canada. They normally ask for a fingerprints based Canadian Criminal Background Check issued by the RCMP. We have signed an MOU with the local police and can also provide name and date of birth-based checks in as fast as 2 hours.
